Students say that attending the Cannes Lions study abroad program through the University of Georgia is transformative in learning which aspect of marketing communication they want to pursue: creative, account services, digital, brand management, or entertainment marketing. Students also see the best creative ideas from all around the globe.
Cannes Lions is increasingly known for its cutting edge assortment of entries from global ad centers in Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas. During the week-long event, students have access to workshops run by some of the best account and creative people in the business and will attend keynote addresses by top agency and marketing CEOs. All creative work is available for student review and students will have access to major award ceremonies.
The festival initiated its PR Lions Award in 2009 and in 2012 Branded Entertainment and Mobile categories were added. In addition to networking and learning opportunities, the festival positions students with a global perspective in marketing communication.
